DESCRIPTION

Propolis is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine to help relieve sore throat and/or other mouth and throat infections and inflammations.

Propolis - A Healing Gift from the Humble Bee

Propolis is a great example of nature’s splendid economy. A resinous natural substance produced by bees to protect and line the inner walls of their hives, it doubles as a powerful medicinal remedy for humans, who have used it for centuries, if not millennia.

The strong antioxidant and infection-fighting properties of propolis are immediately related to the biologically active compounds in it. These are known as polyphenols and flavonoids and have been shown by science to have a demonstrable effect on bacteria, fungi and viruses. Astonishingly, propolis contains 500 times more flavonoids than are to be found in oranges, for example.

Recent research indicates that propolis has a direct, positive effect on the immune system and is in fact a powerful natural anti-inflammatory.  This makes it ideal for upper respiratory tract infections. As well, exciting new research suggests that propolis may also help treat arthritis.

INGREDIENTS (per 1 ml):

Propolis resin......333 mg QCE (1:3.3)

Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Alcohol

SUGGESTED DOSE

Adults: Take 0.22-0.6 ml (7-20 drops) 3 times daily in a little water on an empty stomach.

Duration of Use: Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 1 month.

CAUTIONS

Consult a health care practitioner before use: if you are allergic to bee products, poplar tree products, or balsam of Peru; if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen or persist.

Known Adverse Reactions: Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) has been known to occur, in which case discontinue use immediately.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if seal is broken. Store at room temperature.
