A beautiful climbing plant that thrives in tropical and subtropical regions, passion flower was introduced to Europe from the Americas by the Spanish in the 16th century. From the outset, it was recognized for its remarkable tranquilizing and sedative properties.

Recent studies suggest quite strikingly that passion flower is as effective as pharmaceutical drugs (i.e. benzodiazepines) in eliminating the symptoms of anxiety-related disorders. In this vein, it is also quite useful in the treatment of insomnia, the great thing about it being that it does not cause any next-day hangover.

INGREDIENTS (per 1 ml):

Passion Flower (Passiflora incarnata, herb top) ....... 250 mg QCE dry (1:4) OR 1000 mg QCE fresh (1:1)

Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Distilled water, Organic Certified alcohol

SUGGESTED USE

Adults and adolescents 13 and over: Take 1 ml (30 drops) four times daily in a little water on an empty stomach. May also be taken as a one-time 4 ml (120 drops) daily dose in a little water at bedtime. 

CAUTIONS

Consumption with alcohol, other drugs or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Consult a health care practitioner before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult a health care practitioner if sleeplessness persists continuously for more than 3 weeks (chronic insomnia) or if symptoms worsen. 

Known Adverse Reactions:  Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle, or involved in activities requiring mental alertness. Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) has been known to occur, in which case discontinue use. 

Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if seal is broken. Store at room temperature.
